2005 In Review

Some of the highlights:

More than 70% of Iraqis turned out to vote in the country’s first free parliamentary election. This came as a surprise since Iraq is supposed to be a Vietnam-like quagmire.

Unlike Wisconsinites, Iraqis can’t vote twice, because they have to dip their fingers in purple ink. Thanks to Gov. Jim Doyle, you don’t need a photo ID to vote, but you do need one to buy cold medicine.
